Congratulations to the Class of 2017 on the newest college acceptances this week!
Early Decision (ED) is a binding admission agreement between a student and his or her first-choice institution. The student has agreed to enroll at the institution if admitted and will withdraw all other admission applications from consideration. ED can be the right admission application choice for a student who has made a final decision on his or her college choice. The student will have his or her admission decision early, typically no later than mid-December, and will complete the college process early allowing for a less stressful senior year. ED is also beneficial because students are reviewed within a smaller pool of applicants and are clearly demonstrating their interest in the institution. This binding commitment to a university or college can be the right choice for a student when careful and thorough consideration is given.
Our students are presented with the opportunity to visit many different types of colleges throughout their four years at Harrisburg Academy. As a result, their choices are varied and extensive with more than 150 applications completed by the Class of 2017 this year.
