Harrisburg Academy has a proud tradition of enrolling students from across the globe, many of whom graduate from the Academy to pursue a post-secondary education at a United States college or university.
On average, International students represent about 12% of our Upper School population and come from countries across Europe and Asia.

Application Process and Requirements
International students who enroll at Harrisburg Academy do so through a CSIET-certified program. Together with our agency partners, we work to facilitate the admission process with clear, easy to understand steps:- Application: International families work together with their homestay program to complete our International student application.
- TOEFL Score: Admitted students typically score in the 80-100 range for TOEFL
- Certified transcripts for current year and prior two years
- Confidential teacher recommendations
- English writing sample
- SKYPE Interview: After receipt of all other application materials, the Admission Office will arrange for a Skype interview.

International Student Tuition
Application Fee: There is a one-time application fee of $150 per student.Enrollment Deposit: First-year international students are required to pay a $4,000 registration fee along with the $1,000 enrollment deposit. The registration fee will decrease by $1,000 each year an international student returns to the Academy. This fee includes some ESL instruction, as well as homestay program oversight and social events, and a two-day orientation prior to the first day of school. Payment of the registration fee and enrollment deposit must be made before an I-20 is issued.
International student tuition for the 2024-25 academic year is $28,235USD.Tuition Includes- Limited ESL instructional support up to 25 hours in the first year
